"I started going to Tae because of high levels of inflammation in by body due to an infection. I have always been against taking medication if I could avoid it. However, the inflammation was unbearable, causing body aches, daily headaches, brain fog, etc. This lasted a few months before I went to Tae. Within the first week of going to him, I stopped experiencing brain fog and haven't ever since. After that, Tae and I decided to work on my allergies. I used to walk outside around spring time and my eyes would immediately start burning. It had been so bad at times that I would need to pull over while driving they burnt so much. "I go every week for occupational therapy on my thumb with Nick. He's great and has helped me tremendously regaining the motion and feeling in my thumb. I have been able to completely restore full motion to my thumb after becoming infected with Necrotising fasciitis.
While I was receiving treatment for my thumb, I asked one of the physicals therapists Tae about my knee. I've been an athlete all my life. Early on we discovered that I had problems with my knees. After many visits to many doctors, it was determined that I had missed placed kneecaps. In high school I excelled at cross country and track and field. We tried orthotics which were extremely painful and I had settled for a brace and weekly physical therapy with exercises, heat, ice and even e-stim....Nothing seemed to work. When I went to college my physical therapist decided I should try orthotics again. The schools trainer asked if I was on scholarship. When I replied no. He said "Good, I didn't want to think we received damage goods. "

I have been a patient for 3 years and found Five Phases by accident. I came to them because of a Groupon for laser lipo; however, after the birth of my son - I was having excruciating back spasms that would happen to me randomly and caused me more pain then child birth. I was once even alone on the streets of Barcelona Spain on a business trip where the spasms were so intense that I was vomiting on the way back to my hotel. Living in such fear day after day for when the next spasm might come caused so much anxiety.
Long story short I was being seen at North Shore and saw a variety of back, spine and Gastro specialists. I had MRIs and CTs. I went to physical therapy and all modern medicine gave me was muscle relaxers and reccomended to have my gall bladder removed with no guarantee it would relieve my pain.
Tae realized that it was my posture post child birth and because of my weight gain, my alignment was off. After seeing him regularly and incorporating yoga I AM PAIN free and have my gallbladder. He also used Chinese herbs that caused me to melt and expel my stones in the toilet. Amazing!
In summary, some people hold a degree and are good at what they do but Tae has a God Given Talent that combines physical therapy, ancient eastern medicine, accupincture, and modern approaches to provide you with your best chance at recovery. His website may not be flashy but his mind is brilliant. He has some tools that are more advanced then some hospitals. He has studied in Thailand as well as holds several degrees from well known American Universities.

"My review for Tae is long overdue. During each spring my son has really bad seasonal allergies. I really do not like to medicate him with all the drugs and to make it worst, Benadryl and Claritin doesn't do much for him. I was looking for a more natural way to deal with the torturous symptom. I took my son to Five Phases for treatment last year and continued this year for a booster. Tae is very patient with kids. My son doesn't like needles but Tae was able to make him feel at ease. He likes Tae. During each treatment, my son always falls into a deep sleep. You can tell that the treatment is working and my son doesn't mind getting acupuncture as long as he feels better. "Wonderful office and nothing but the best care from Tae and his staff. I always leave feeling relaxed, healed, and cared for. My tennis and golfer's elbow (same arm) was a problem for a while, and my orthopedist was unable to help me after the normal course of cortisone and exercise therapies. Tae evaluated me, and was honest about what a nasty injury it was and promised relief - but that it would take some time to work on. After a few months of visits, my pain went from an 8/9 to a much more bearable 3/4. Now I am at a 1!
